Tact, the Single Programmer, and the FAQs, Ma'am
"Edward Franks" <xyzzy@ponyexpress.net> quoted Nathan Mates and then said:

> Nathan Mates
! Now that is the first time I ever saw some state that politeness
! is "fluff". It seems that Mr. Mates thinks courtesy should be
! uncommon
! <grin>.
!
! This is sad behavior for the maintainer of the FAQ.
! How did he get the job anyway?
! Was he elected or self-appointed?
Now just a darned minute, Edward!
Whatever you may think of N.Mate's occasional somewhat surly attitude,
maintaining and extending the FAQ is a time-consuming job and I don't
recall -anyone- posting any thank-yous to him for his work. I have found
his replies accurate and when he's goofed, he's admitted and fixed same.
Thank you, Nathan; I appreciate the FAQs and once my other local provider
with text web-browser starts answering the darned phone again, I intend to
catch an updated copy. I find the FAQs valuable to myself, and have made
and provided copies to several people who haven't got access.
