Yep, that's what I use my SE/30 for, it runs Appleshare 3.0. It has an ethernet
card and I'm soon to get a Shiva localtalk bridge so I can have my main Macs on
ethernet and IIs and other Macs and printers on localtalk and they'll all
talk to each other.
I dunno about SE's flying with system 7, I'd say all the 8 mHz 68000 boxes
run it at kind of a breathless trot. You're right, 4 mb Pluses and SE's are
well under $100 now. Get one and make it a slave to your IIgs and have your
revenge on Macs. If that's your thing.
