All of the TransWarp CPU accelerators will work in Slot 3. I don't know
of anything else that will do so. A SoftCard =could= work there if it was
programmed for it, but apparently it wasn't. Not surprising since CP/M
was on its way out the door by the time the II+ started to become scarce.
What are presently in your slots? Perhaps there is a way to economize your
present setup. Two obvious possibles are the use of a no-slot clock and a
different disk controller. Another is the use of a large auxslot RAMcard
such as the RamWorks or Q-Ram rather than regular slot-using RAMcards. If
you have a mouse, you might want to take a hard look at your reasons for
keeping it installed.
All of my slots are in use, but I have a slot-using clock, four floppies,
and hard drive, among other things. When I got my hard drive, I had to
dump my mouse. I haven't missed it. I have 3MB in the auxslot and no RAM
in regular slots.
