Roger: I don't think Chuck wanted any evangelism, just some help for Candy on
getting on the internet. I recently converted from an Amiga 4000 to a
PowerCenter-132, mainly for the graphics capability. And I use a PC at work,
so I have pretty good experience with all 3 platforms. Each has there own
strengths and weaknesses. One of the main weakness of the Mac is the lack of a
completely pre-emptive multitasking OS that is PowerPC native. Once the Mac
has that, then we will have something to brag about <g>. Until then, the Mac
users kludge along with a co-operative OS that still has too much 68K code
emulation. Even Copland won't be completely pre-emptive, just parts of it. So
I wouldn't brag too much <g>. Yes, the Mac does have plently of nice features
that you pointed out, but it hasn't been enough to make me into an evangelist
yet.
