I last used one of these back in '88, but I seem to remember that if you
wanted to print at near-readable-quality, you could use fax paper, (off a
roll with a special holder).  The BIG advantage is that you're not paying
for ribbons, BUT the output was _terrible_ compared with the Apple DMP let
alone the Imagewriter I/II.

Spend the $$ to buy a ribbon and use plain paper.
