I've used one for years ... its still hooked up to the "kids" system.
The cable came with it and has the DIN8 original //c connector on it
BUT states that it is for the Scribe/IW printers.
It doesn't use odd paper, standard fan-fold bond from the discount
store is great ... BUT ... the ribbon is very special ... one time use
thermal transfer. They are still made BUT are special order and not
by Apple any more.
The problem I have a lot is that the print head gets dirty and smudges
the print out ... a careful dis-assembly and a soak and clean in
isopropyl with QTips has done the job since about 1982(?).
Good luck ... the ribbons are the only problem!
