IIe Problem - flashing power light!

Hello all,
   Please forgive my ignoracne, I have checked the FAQ, and all the
manuals I have!

   I picked up a IIe a few weeks ago because it was not working. All the
computer does is flash the power light on and off quickly. A warn boot
causes the lights to change frequency but it soon returns to a constant
flashing. I do not have a monitor hooked up to the computer, I do have a
80 col/mem expansion board and a disk II controller boar in slot 6!

   Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
