Unfortunately some more somewhat depressing news:

I too ordered a Soundmeister from Alltech (I'm in Canada also).

After a month with no word from them (of course the bill had made it onto 
my Mastercard alreday) I called then again. They said the order had been 
shipped out the day prior...!! The excuse was that most people use U.P.S. 
for shipping, I had requested the cheapest way possible...mail.

I believe that they actually build the Soundmeister boards when they ordered.
(No proof just my belief....)

Anyways I did finally receive the board and it works. The software 
(Digital Session) is buggy and there are numerous features in it that do 
not function....I had a great time just getting the install to run.
