I'm buying an apple IIgs from a friend (who knows nothing about it).
Unfortunately I know less. It does not hav a hard drive.

------------------------------------
In order to run a HD on the IIGS it is necessary to have a SCSI card to
connect the HD to. There are the Apple card that must have the rev C rom to
work on the IIGS. There is a better SCSI card called a RAM FAST sold by
Sequential Systems
for $139.95.
I you get a HD I would say a 105 to 240 meg is enough.
good luck
