Are you using the SuperDrive controller, or the built-in
SmartPort? And, is your external drive a SuperDrive or a standard Drive
3.5?
BOTH the SuperDrive controller (available at some of the surplus
areas for around $60) and the SuperDrive itself are needed for the IIgs to
use 1.44 diskettes as 1.44 diskettes.
