I had access to a Zip drive for a few days. I formatted the disks using
the RamFAST utility program, made each disk one HFS partition. The GS
recognized the disks allright, but I had problems writing large quantities
of data. If I moved small folders (< than a couple meg), no problems. But
anything over that and it would hang nearly every time during the copy.
Also the GS didn't like it when I ejected the disk and put in a different one.
Overall it was more trouble than it was worth. My GS is a ROM 1, System 6.0.1,
8Mb RAM, RamFAST (one of the latest ROMS, 3.01x).
