I have just bought VEGAS GAMBLER, a IIgs game with excellent graphics.
I have the original disk, the manual, and the box. Its by California
Dreams, and is an impressive game.
But it has a very annoying "codewheel" protection scheme in which you
have to dig out the manual and look up individual characters on specific
pages. The codewheel works, but its a hassle to have to look up the
items when loading. I found this game reviewed in COMPUTIST #62, its only
softkey.
The softkey is simple, with a few sector-edits. Problem is that the
characters listed in the softkey do not match what is found at the
specified locations. Has anyone found a solution to the codewheel
problem on this game?
