Re: MECC Comp Inspector

Me again. MECC C.I. is not perfect, but still so impressive.
It identifies cards better than any other software I have.
With my 8Mhz ZIP Chipped IIc, I mistakenly called it a IIC Plus, but
thats because it saw the accelerator in there.

: BUE(| MECC COMPUTER INSPECTOR APPLE II
: BUE(| This disk has a "Machine Identification" program that tells you
: | the version of Apple IIe/IIc/IIc+/IIgs, the amount of memory you
: | have, and _especially_ it identifies all of the interface cards
: | in your slots. Considering the thousands of A2 interface cards
: | ever produced, this disk does an impressive job.

: True... but it's not perfect. Neither MECC-CI nor SlotScan 1.62
: recognise the Epic 2400 internal modem in my machine, and where SlotScan
: will tell me that the Xebec SASI card for my 10 meg Sider in slot 7 is a
: "Semi-intelligent drive card" and how the drive is partitioned (or if no
: drive is connected, tell how big the partitions can be), the MECC-CI
: just says "unknown." SlotScan should be available on cco.caltech. (And
: a hearty hello to Bob Claney if you're still out there... :) )

: The card in question, a "preproduction" number, probably won't be ID'd
: by either program, however. Worth a shot though. More Info On Card!!!
