Further testing seems to point to Print 3200 once again. This
time I disabled my hardrive, created an 800K RAM Disk and installed a
clean copy of 'System Disk'. I launched it up and examined things
carefully, no problems whatsoever. Then I copied Print 3200 to the
root directory, launched it and quit back to the Finder. Immediately
half the filetypes have disappeared after it's created a 'Desktop'
file in the /Icons folder. Other programs that create a Desktop file
_do not_ cause this problem with disappearing filetypes!
Unless this is some strange conflict caused by my hardware
setup (unlikely) it seems Print 3200 is at fault. Surely someone
else out there has tried it, and if so, I'd like to know if some
of their filetypes have disappeared as well... Anyone?
