I normally would not get involved with any comment made by Joe Kohn.
However, I must clear up some of his and others lack of knowledge, 
concerning the current status of Photonix II v4.50.

First, the author (Olivier Goguel), who cofounded 1WSW with me way back 
in 1993, sent me the program, the src. codes and the rights to do with 
it as I pleased.  I have an original letter to this effect, a copy of 
which is digitized, clearly in 17 million colors, saved as a jpeg and 
was (up until a few weeks ago) on the 1WSW web site, for all to view, 
download, save or whatever.

Second, the contract (with Big Red) as Mr. Kohn mentioned, has expired.
I've contacted John at Big Red, expressing my desire to release the 
program as public domain, with the src. codes and he said that would be 
just fine with him.

I trust that will clear up all the questions everybody is expressing 
concerning the fact that Photonix II v2.50 is now public domain, as are
all releases from; 1WSW, FTA, SSS and ACS!

If anybody doubts this, then you should go to the 'tlc.html' document, 
on the 1WSW web site, review the contact information for Olivier Goguel, 
give him a call or write to him and I'm sure he will confirm 100% 
everthing I've stated above!
