Re: MECC Freeware?

As one of our many efforts from 1WSW-CA to bring older software (that 
was commercial) and might become reclassified as freeware to allow its 
inclusion on Apple II ftp sites, I've contacted MECC about releasing 
several older educational software programs for the Apple II as 
freewares.  I've also contacted the 'TIES' organization, who will be 
working with me on this effort. 'TIES' currently has many of the older 
MECC Apple II educational programs, that they control the rights to now.

We are - all three groups - (1WSW-CA, MECC and TIES) working out all the 
legal and program status' on these older MECC edwares.  I'll keep 
everybody posted on the progress, of our efforts to get them released 
for ftp uploads and downloads - as freeware.  As of this posting: all 
MECC Apple II software remains commercial and copyrighted by MECC.
