Once you have the HFS FST installed, you can initialize 800k HFS disks
(or HFS hard drive partitions) on the IIgs and read or write HFS
disks.
A text file can be copied onto an HFS disk just as you would do it
with a ProDOS disk - drag the icon onto the disk from Finder, or use a
GS/OS program to save a text file directly onto an HFS disk.
As long as the file type is $04 (TXT), the file will end up with a
type of 'TEXT' on the Mac disk (the creator will probably be 'pdos',
but that should be ignored by Mac programs).
You cannot access HFS volumes from ProDOS-8, except with a program
such as AFX or HFSLink, both of which are limited to read-only access.
