Greetings,
I have a small problem I hope somebody can shed some light on.
Occassionally, when I click on a volume or folder within a volume,
the window pops up and is filled with a strange multi-colored pattern.
I can still see my icons hiding behind the pattern.
I have a ROM 01 GS, 4 meg card, 40 meg Sider HD running GS/OS 6.0.1.
I have run the self-test, it comes back SYSTEM OK.
I have run the memory test that comes with Appleworks GS, it says
everything is OK.
I have run the memory tests that came with the 4 meg card (Sequential Systems),
it comes back OK also.
I have re-formatted the HD and reloaded all the software from original floppies,
but the multi-colored pattern continues.
The problem happens when I shift-boot and when I don't.
One partition on the HD (not the boot partition) has bad blocks, but those
are locked out and the problem is not confined to that partition anyway.
I am out of ideas, what am I missing???
Thanks in advance.
bob
