ImageWriter II interface?

    I have a friend who has an old Apple ImageWriter II that went with an
    Apple IIgs.  He would like to use it on a non-Apple system.  What we
    need is technical hardware, software, and/or hacking information on
    this printer - even a pin out would be a start.  I can build cables
    and simple interface circuits - that's not a problem.  If it turns
    out we can only print generic ASCII text, that's fine.

    All leads appreciated.
