Maybe it's a US thing.  I have a debit-only card from my bank that is
linked to my checking account, and it has a Visa logo on it.  I'm not
sure if I could actually borrow money on it; I think it is just logo'd
so that it's 'accepted' at normal Visa locations.  I never use it,
because I can use my credit card instead and get a free loan on Visa's
money for an average of 15 days per month.  I don't have any fees
unless I forget to send them their money on time...
