  He _can_ print to the printer from ProDOS 8. But he has to boot GS/OS
first, and run his P8 application from the Finder or other IIGs program
launcher. Furthermore, he has to make sure that in a ROM 01 slot 7
is set to "built-in appletalk" and he must print to slot 7.
  On a ROM 03, he can print to slot 1 or 2.

  Sequential Systems has two such cards. The LTO, which is your basic
AppleTalk interface card, sells for $79. The MegaBuff, which is
similar to the LTO bus has 1MB of buffer memory on it (and works
in serial mode, too) costs somewhat more than that, $99 at
Quality Computer.
