Orphaned Apple II user!

I'm an Apple II/Macintosh user. I use the Mac for 3D rendering,
and and Apple IIc for word processing and BBSing. The right tool
for the right job, right?
My favourite BBS is moving from AppleNet to First Class, from
a IIgs to a Mac IIcx. Am I right in assuming that using ProTERM to
connect to a First Class BBS will be a nightmare? If so... what
can I do that will allow me to continue using the IIc while
calling this BBS? Anything?
