My PCT was doing the same thing. I must have an Init or some such
thning installed that convflicts with the PCT control panel 'cause
I found it works fine if I use a shift-boot. Sooo, whenever I want
to use my PCT I just restart my GS while holding the shift key down.
When the "Welcome to the Apple IIGS" window appears you'll see a
message "No desk accessories or INITs" at which point you can let the
shift key go. None of your NDAs, CDAs, or INITs will be available
following a shift boot, so if this is a problem you might want to
determine which items are causing a problem.
