I haven't looked into "Fast SCSI" in detail, but this refers to the
data transfer speed between the computer and the drive. If the
computer's SCSI controller cannot keep up, then data will be lost.
I thought that Fast SCSI was an optional feature. Maybe I should have
a closer look at that section of the draft SCSI-2 standard.
Having a faster machine (accelerator) will not help at all.
