Hi Myles, I think the problem is with the software. I installed mine
only a short time ago and was in such a hurry to see how much of a
difference this card would make over my Apple Hi Speed SCSI, that I
neglected to read all the docs first. On page 9 regarding installing
the software, it explains how to remove that icon (which until removed
is recognized as a partition). Simply boot up the computer, run the
RamFAST Utility program, click on the OPTIONS command (this is assuming
of coarse that you already INSTALLED the software), click on the <yes>
beside 'RomDISK' and it should change to <no>. Then 'QUIT' and you will
be placed back at the desktop with the RamFAST icon replaced by your
hard drive partition.
If you don't have the manual, and/or are still having troubles with it,
let me know.
