Does the system test give any errors? I would suspect the Zip, or at
least a part of it. Check the cable, and make sure all of the pins are
in the cpu socket. If you have a multimeter, test all of the wires on
the Zip -> cpu socket cable; make sure they're all intact. Also try and
set your cache to 8k.If the problem stops then, you probably have a
cache problem. What speed/cache configuration is your Zip?
