Their price lists and catalogues clearly list an 810 number for
technical support. The 800 number is only for "sales and service",
though I would have thought installation-type problems would come
under "service".
They shouldn't have been rude about it.
It is very common for companies (particularly regarding the Apple II)
to only want sales calls on an 800 number.
I remember all the fuss when Applied Engineering removed the 800
number (or was it a normal toll call?) for Apple II tech support and
made it a 900 number. Look what happened to them. :-)
