This sounds like just interference from the motherboard.  You didn't
say where the click is coming from, but if it's from the internal
speaker and you don't mind losing the pre-IIGS style sound, you
can just disconnect it.

Don't know about the stickers, but the ftp site ftp.apple.com
has copies of GS/OS 5.04, 6.0, & 6.0.1  (in an Apple II readable format
if you would believe it ;)
