It depends what files you are talking about. There is no differnce in
file formats between the II+ and IIe, assuming you are talking about
the same operating systems and applications.
Apple File Exchange (AFX) cannot access Apple II 5.25" disks, so you
have to transfer the files to a ProDOS-formatted 3.5" disk before the
Mac can read it.
AFX is also limited in the types of files it can handle. Unless you
have additional translators installed, you can really only transfer
text files using this method.

Yes, this would probably work. You might get some extra control
characters in the case of the AppleWriter document, but it should be
easy enough to edit these out on the Mac.
