| You can indeed boot over a Macintosh (though not through a ProDOS
| partition), but you need AppleShare and I think that costs around

hmm... Appleshare 4.0 (the latest & greatest... really a lot of fun to 
use) doesn't have any Apple II support that i could see.  as i recall, 
you can login... but only in one manner.  it'd be a better shot to 
invest in someone else's old server running Appleshare 2.0 or 3.0 (2.0 
is better if you can find one; people will want to upgrade to 4.0 if 
they can afford it.  4.0 requires a 68040, 2.0 can't run on a 68040... 
so they may wish to part with a computer (& large HD) at the same 
time.)

I use an Apple II+ clone.  It's probably faster than your machine,
unless you run on a SPARC station.
