I'm trying to send some text files from an AppleIIe to an IBM.
If anyone could give me some suggestions, I'd really appreciate it!
Here's what I have:
AppleIIe: using Appleworks(?)
one printer port
one disk drive port
one 'other'(?) port (9 pin)
IBM: 286@25mhz
2400bps modem
Qmodem (term. soft.) with ASCII data capture
small program to strip high ASCII characters
Here's what I need:
-What port do I use on the Apple for seriel interface?
-What command (with syntax) do I use on the Apple? (I don't know Apple
syntax at all -- It's for my dad!)
-Can I modify a seriel cable and switch pin 3 and 4 like I would for an
IBM null modem cable?
If anyone can help at all, I would be ETERNALLY grateful!!
Thanks for your time,
Jeff Vannest
