Re: Symbolix Question

I haven't seen Derive so I can't compare, but I have worked with
the GSymbolix demo (v1.6 I think) and I've got the real McCoy on
order. GSymbolix (IMHO) is an extremely powerful math package that
let's you explore mathematics in up to 3 dimensions. With respect
to your specific question on log functions and graphing, absolutely.
One of the first things I did with the 3D graphing function was to
plot the extent of conversion in a thermal oxidizer (i.e.,
hazardous waste incinerator) as a function of mean exposure
temperature and time, which it turns out is a log function :) It's
a great program for tinkering with my old trig books with!

If you like math, (or hate it and need help) you'll love GSymbolix.

Have fun!
