Usually I am one of the first to flame Ian for being immature
etc. etc., but this time I really think he only made one comment that
was out of line and that was the comment he heard from a GEnie person.
If you reread his posts you'll find that he was expressing valid
complaints about how he has been treated as a GNO developer, and valid
comments about why the SS card probably isn't going to be the savior
of the GS (like alot of people seem to think it will be).

If people were saying that their impressions of GNO have been
lowered by how Jawaid didn't handle things well, what does that have
to do with Ian? Are you trying to say that Ian is responsible for
Jawaid not providing as much developer support as some people would
like? Is Ian responsible for Jawaid promising GS/TCP for GNO for
nearly a year even though it is Derek's program?

Personally I think that some of the recent posts Jawaid made
were much bigger flames then anything Ian has posted. I mean he
singled out every person on IRC on #AppleIIgs as being "filthy" except
for the supposed decent people who were on his list. I was offended
by that post despite being on his "list of worthy people" but I let it
slide.

I don't think you can blame any one person for anything.
When you start considering complaints as "excessive flamage" then

: That sort of thing is a great injustice and I doubt even Ian wanted it, but
: that's what his attitude and its generous application eventually produced.
: Think about it. Ian was frigging relentless attacking Jawaid. Even as his
: friend you should be able to see that Ian is doing way more damage than he
: is helping anything.

Where are these posts of Ian relentlessly attacking Jawaid? I
must have some AI news server that didn't let me read them eh? Or
then again, maybe you just don't like Ian and find now as a good time
to express it?

: EVERYONE, if you are offended by Ian's excessive flamage, express YOURself!

It takes more then one person to have a flame war... I think
people should quit trying to make Ian the local scapegoat.
