Oh, this is cute.. Trying to imply that people who swear
are somehow below average. I have found that people who place large
importance in the meanings of words as opposed to the words that are
used are more likely to swear then people who place a large importance
on the words that are used. (Regardless of their educational background)

: profanity to e-mail when they deem it necessary to be used? Thanks for your

Children are more likely to learn profanity at school then
they are from reading usenet (IMO). If you don't want your kid
exposed to profanity then why would you ever even dream of letting
them use internet where you can get pornographic GIFs, stories, and
learn about any number of social deviant types of behavior.
If you don't like swearing then set up your kill file so that articles
with swearing get killed.
You can kill articles with the word "fuck" in them from inside trn
by doing this:
type "=" to turn off the thread selector, then type /fuck/a
then hit "J" to junk them... bingo, no more articles with "fuck" in them.
(Thanks to Brian for how to do that one.)
Learn about your newsread, set it up to kill the files
automatically and then everyone is happy.
