ProDOS 8 CDA Installer?

Most of the things I use my IIgs for are under ProDOS 8, not GS/OS,
mainly due to the fact that I have no hard drive for it.  Now that I
have a new high speed modem, I find I need to install a CDA that will
allow me to set the port speed higher than 19200.  Unfortunately I don't
know of any programs that allow installation of a standard CDA under
ProDOS 8.  (I've seen non-CDA-filetype CDAs be installed from P8
though.)  Can anyone help me here?

Also, will an unaccellerated GS be able to keep up with an Intel 144e
modem, or will I need to get an accellerator?  Where can I get one?
My machine is a ROM 01.
