You picked up a USED printer... that may be why!
If you're looking for a new one, try the DJ-500 for about $200-259... the
Harmonie drivers should work fine... and even the public domain driver
(Hp.LJIIP.Driver) is cool...
That's your best bet :)

(also... check your serial port settings, make sure they are all standard, and
try 19200 or Buffering on, or both, and that might fix it... or reinstall the
swriter driver from 6.01)
