i hate to sound like a net fascist, but c.s.a2 isn't the place to
learn about the net.
[ jk's stuff about wasted bandwidth, which i agree with 100% ]

again, this is c.s.a2, not some general net newsgroup, or unix
newsgroup. there are groups for such things. i don't read 'em,
'cause i don't care to hear about that kind of stuff, and i have other
sources for the info. feel free to peruse them, ask questions, and
learn more than you've ever wanted to know about the net.

i've never used ncftp. in fact, you're the only person i've ever
heard mention it. i'm more than happy with regular ftp, and
ange-ftp/dired in emacs.

why? if you and other people want to learn more about the net, then
go ahead and read the newsgroups that are meant for that kind of info.
i'm sure there are more appropriate newsgroups out there than c.s.a2.
jk> Oh well, all and all, I'd rather be here than on AOL <haha>.
glad to hear it...
