Ncftp is a wonderful way to download APPLE II SOFTWARE from the Internet.

Some of the advantages of ncftp over ftp include:

1) Logins are automated. No more typing 'anonymous' and your e-mail
   address.
2) You can open ncftp connections from a menu or by using shorthand.
3) When you ncftp to a site, you will be in the same sub-directory you were
   last using. So, if you were in HOT.FILES the last time you visited cco,
   you'll be automatically deposited into that same sub-directory.
4) No more typing cd /this and cd /that.
5) BIN is the default transfer protocol.
6) A thermometer bar will give you a visual indicator of how your download
   is progressing.
