Yes. Menues suck, this is true.

I personally like ncftp; and it was awhile before I learned about
it and started using it. To instruct users on what's best to use is wrong.
Rather, we should let them find out for themselves =)

Uhh, what? You get no better tranfser rates if you ftp 5 things at
a time or 5 things sequentially. Also, if you wanna do background ftp's,
you should `ncftp ftp://site.com/path/file > /dev/null &`. Real simple,
no output whatsoever except for errors, and people will think you're a
real unix user. FSP, eh? Well, let's not bring up fsp, although I do like
its interface.

Seems to me, that he is going to get his butt flamed off the net,
not even mentioning making fun of him on IRC! =)

: Why? Thats what FAQs are for! Most answers to common questions can be found
: in news.answers. I'm sure there are a ton of others groups for this purpose
: also! Hell, go start up your own alt group then if you can't find one...

Right. csa2 is not a unix group, it's an apple2 group. However,
people have to have some understand of the internet to come up with
cohernt posts. A brief but limited section in the csa2 faq would be
appropriate. How can you expect someone to read the FAQ for alt.answers
or whatever if they don't know how (don't ask me the name if the newsgroup,
I never read the FAQ =) ?

: So what? I have a full net connection and I've never used Lynx or Mosaic!
: Hell, I don't even post that often!

Yes. Just because you don't see people doesn't mean they don't
exist. How do you know the number of people using Lynx/Mosiac, Joe? I
personally think Lynx sucks, and WWW isn't worth the time if you're not
on an xterminal with hardwire ethernet, but that's just me =)
