Sounds a lot like a Videx videoterm card or clone. I'd have
to dig one up and compare to your description, but I'd geuss
that that is likely. It was a REALLY popular 80 column csard
for the ][+ and was widely cloned. One ROM has the char set,
one has the optional secondary char set (usually programmed
for inverse characters) and I think the last has atual
operating info not characters.
This card did not have auto switching, you either hooked up
2 monitord, an external manual switch, or un plugged
from the computer and plugged into the card. Either the first
2 pins or the last 2 pins (I think its the top 2) put out your
NTSC compatible monochrome 80 col video signal.
You should just solder a cable with to those pins and hook it
up to a monitor...BTW since this was the most popular early
80 col card most software will work with it. Choose Videx
or video term if you have a choice.
If any one wants to ask more about this send me email and
I will reply directly.
