The Center for Spoken Language Understanding at the Oregon
Graduate
Institute is beginning a new speech data collection effort.  We
need
people to call our toll-free number and answer a few questions
over
the phone.  Our computer system will answer the phone, play a
series
of messages and record your answers. The call will take about
seven
minutes.  The number to call is 1-800-366-8133.

Each caller will be asked to answer a few questions and repeat
a few
phrases.  None of the information requested is personal
information;
but, as always, our data is kept completely confidential.

To thank you for your participation we offer each caller a $3
gift
certificate for McDonalds, TCBY frozen yogurt, Baskin-Robbins,
Blockbuster Video, or B. Dalton Books.

BTW, I have only received ONE post through info-apple in the
last two or three days! I have tried to send a subscribe
message to "info-apple-request@apple.com" with my new address
(it's the same place, they just thought it would make life
interesting to change their domain address). Am I screwing up
somewhere or is my mail just sitting behind a dam somewhere
waiting to burst forward???
