I don't have a 550c or the Canon Bubblejet printer that does color,
but I was looking around last week at them. The Canon printer has
different cartridges for each color, rather than one cartridge with 4
colors in it, so you don't need to waste ink. However, the Canon
printer costs more as well. They seemed to be about the same speed in
the store where I saw them. A guy at work has the Canon printer
hooked up to his 486 at home and is quite happy with it.
I guess I would suggest looking at all available options, though I
don't know if there are color drivers for the Canon.
