MusicWriter from PyWare is a very nice notational program, with some
sequencing capabilities. It does import and save files as type 1 standard
midi files. It can't handle SynthLab files, and I know of no reliable way
to turn a MIDISynth file into a MIDI one. The other way around is now
apparently possible.
