Synthesizing 4 channels requires about 20% of CPU time on a 33MHz 68030. As Ian
mentioned already, there's definitely a significant loss of quality because
samples are stretched to fit into the "22Khz scheme". You'll get lots of noise.
Mod players also have a 11Khz "heartbeat" - you won't hear anything above 14khz
or so.
Again, the PPC will have - optionally - the full AV equipment.
