Arrrgh! This word, "optional", really scares me. I consider sound
to be just as important as screen resolution, and I can guess that not
providing some sort of sound in ALL machines will be a source of grief.
Just look at all the turmoil in the PeeCee arena, with multiple sound
'standards' all competing against each other.
The best thing Apple ever did to the IIgs was put the Ensoniq
chip in every machine.
