I would just like to relate a very entertaining experience I just had.
Since I got my Mac, I have been using it as my terminal as I have been
downloading a bunch of Mac stuff. In the process, I also got some
GS stuff. I didn't want to have to stick in on to floppies so I
decided to try to network the two machines. I got out the GS system disks
and installed the network pieces, went to the Mac and activated the
appropriate cdevs unplugged the Imagewriter and plugged the cord into
the GS. Rebooted both machines and *POOF*, instant network. WAY too cool.
Makes you think kindly of Apple again, the boys and girls can do some
things ultra-right. Admittedly its not hugely useful, but after screwing
around with IBM compatible networks at work and all the troubles and
cards that go with it, I find the simplicity of my little network most
refreshing.
