Either the lowest pin in your printhead is jammed or clogged with
debris and dried ink, or it isn't aligned properly with the ribbon. I
don't have an ImageWriter II any more, but there is a knob somewhere on
the ribbon carrier that adjusts the angle, shifting the printhead up or
down in relation to the ribbon.
