Jeff Marcus' problem sounds like it is the endstop delimiter which needs
adjusting, OR the alignment of the step-motor mounting screws.

Solution will be to read the Disk ][ repair chapter (Gene Williams: HOW TO
REPAIR YOUR APPLE II COMPUTER, 1985); also to get the APTEST DIAGNOSTICS
shareware disk which provides the adjustment software for doing this 
repair.

I have both: send $5. to cover photocopying and postage expenses and I will
send the chapter with the APTEST shareware disk, and you can fix that drive!

Jeff is very resourceful with that plasticised wire "hook"; most users
would not reach inside their drive with such a hook ......     sebugg
