help! j_bob.demo.shk & lcc-0.09.tar.Z

I recently downloaded two files from cco.caltech.edu :

        j_bob.demo.shk       and       lcc-0.09.tar.Z


I noticed the "Z" suffix on the lcc file, so tried to uncompress
it on unix.  It seemed to work fine.  BUT when I downloaded these
files onto my gs, there seemed no way of unshrinking them or doing
anything useful with them..... can anyone help????
