Except that it makes noise on a UniDisk and I don't believe it does with
other drives. I (unfortunately :-) have a UniDisk. It gets very annoying
after a while spent in desktop programs. So annoying that I was thinking
of patching out the whole notify proc system. Of course, that would have
other effects!
An old P8 Finder type emulator program I used to have polled my UniDisk
without making noise.
